Great burgers! Delivery is fast and friendly! They actually have pints of ice cream that are scooped to order! I love the coconut! The pictures are a cheese burger no bun, slice of BBQ chicken pizza, and taco appetizer. If getting the tacos on delivery get meat on side so shells are still good when you get them!
Overview
Walking into Garrison Pizza Y Más feels like stepping into a neighborhood hangout where everyone knows why they’re there: good food, fair prices, and zero pretense. Tucked along the Hudson corridor at 2534 US-9, Garrison, NY 10524, United States, this diner-style pizzeria has quietly become a go-to stop for locals, hikers coming off the trails, and commuters craving something hot and satisfying without driving miles out of the way.
The first thing that hits you is the smell. That unmistakable blend of bubbling mozzarella, baked dough, and simmering sauce tells you the pizza ovens have been busy all day. From personal experience, I’ve stopped in after a long afternoon hike nearby, and the timing couldn’t have been better. A slice here isn’t rushed. The crust has that sweet spot-crispy underneath, soft enough to fold-and the sauce tastes like it was built patiently, not poured straight from a can. That matters more than people think. According to the USDA, tomatoes retain most of their antioxidants when cooked slowly, which may explain why the sauce tastes both rich and balanced without being heavy.
The menu goes well beyond standard slices. While pizza is clearly the star, there’s a solid mix of Mexican-inspired dishes, classic subs, and diner staples that give the place its Y Más identity. One afternoon, I watched a family order a pepperoni pie, carne asada tacos, and a cheeseburger, all in one go. Nobody looked confused. That flexibility is part of the charm. Restaurants that successfully blend cuisines often focus on shared fundamentals-fresh ingredients, proper seasoning, and consistency-and this spot pulls that off better than most small-town diners.
Their process is refreshingly straightforward. Dough is prepared daily, toppings are prepped in small batches, and orders come out fast without feeling careless. Industry data from the National Restaurant Association shows that consistency and speed are two of the top factors in positive diner reviews, and you can see why when a lunch rush hits. Even when the counter is packed, the flow stays calm, and food quality doesn’t dip.
What really stands out is how approachable everything feels. Prices stay reasonable, portions are generous, and nobody’s trying to upsell you on things you don’t want. That honesty builds trust, and it shows in customer reviews around town. Regulars often mention bold flavors done right, friendly staff, and the fact that you can grab a reliable meal whether you’re dining in or taking it to go. One local contractor I chatted with swears by their lunch specials because, in his words, always filling, never disappointing.
There’s also something to be said about location. Being right off US-9 makes it an easy stop without feeling like a highway trap. You see locals chatting at tables, students grabbing slices after school, and weekend visitors looking relieved they found something casual instead of another sit-down spot. That mix gives the place energy without noise, which isn’t easy to pull off.
Of course, no restaurant is perfect. Seating can feel tight during peak hours, and if you’re looking for gourmet presentation or experimental flavors, this isn’t that kind of place. But that’s not a flaw-it’s a choice. As the CDC often notes when discussing community dining habits, familiarity and comfort play a huge role in why people return to the same restaurants again and again. This diner leans into that idea fully.
In a food landscape crowded with trends, this spot sticks to what works. Solid pizza, a diverse menu, dependable service, and an atmosphere that doesn’t try too hard. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, feeding a family, or just curious after seeing the sign on the road, it delivers exactly what you hope for: real food made with care that keeps people coming back.

Shrimp with rice, with garlic is delicious! They need a steam table for more offerings of delicious Latin food!
I ordered pick up from garrison restaurant. The man who helped me was very kind and provided quick service. The prices here are great too. I got the tortellini Alfredo and I would highly recommend it.
The food and the owner have never disappointed us, and we've probably been here 100 times.
Great family run restaurant - highly recommend for great food and service!!!
Good selection of Latino food. There’s also a selection of Italian favorites. Pizza is middle of the road. They do have great wedges - meatball, chicken and shrimp parmigiana. The staff is very friendly. There’s a big selection of bottled drinks, wine and beer included.
I've been going to this pizza place since I was a kid, when it was called Papa John's (no relation) and had mini golf in the back. This place holds a special place in my heart. Harrison Pizza y Màs had improved since being under new ownership. Great authentic Mexican Food, and really good Italian fare as well. One thing to note - prices are different for cash vs. card.
